You decided to sit on a bike for a few km’s – to discover the Biggest Lake of South East Asia with its floating villages. Five provinces are around the area of the Tonle Sap Lake, more than three million the population that inhabits around the bank of the Lake and 90% of them earn a living by fishing and agriculture.
The main Mekong flood level heightens each year during the southwest monsoon every June or July, the direction of flow of the Tonle Sap River reverses, creating the exceptional water regime with huge changes in the lake water level from about 2 to 8 meters.

Leave the Hotel on your bike to the Tonle Sap lake. Discover on your way the fishermen’s life in the village along the road. Arriving at the lake, you will be surprised to see very high stilt houses where the fishermen live to protect themselves from the high water level of the Tonle Sap lake.
